The PTO involves parents in organizing social activities and events for the students at Immaculate Conception.
By volunteering, you not only help IC Schools, but set a positive example for your own family.
IC's PTO functions as a support network for parents and IC Schools.
What is the PTO?
PTO stands for Parent-Teacher Organization. The PTO consists of parents and teachers working together to support and enrich all students at Immaculate Conception Catholic Schools. We support school staff, help promote student self-esteem, and assist efforts to solve school needs through volunteers and fundraising. All parents of IC students are encouraged to participate in PTO activities whenever possible, even if you are unable to attend our regular meetings.
Volunteers are an essential part of our success. By participating in the PTO, you can make new friends, gain necessary service hours, and have the invaluable opportunity to actively demonstrate to your child(ren) the importance you place on education.
What are the Priorities of the PTO?
We have a number of priorities, events and program goals each year. Some examples of past goals: to refurbish the playground, purchase new kitchen equipment, assist in buying new desks for classrooms, support student learning through online-accessible learning tools, and help fund new lighting for the school.

How Do I Get Involved?
There are a number of ways for you to support the school and get involved. Whether you have time on your hands or a tight schedule, IC has many ways you can make a positive contribution to our students and schools.
YOUR TIME: There are volunteer opportunities galore waiting for you! Volunteer opportunities are available in many areas such as volunteering in the cafeteria as well as behind the scenes-type tasks that could potentially be done on or offsite. Through the many PTO and school events, there are numerous ways to support our school -- assisting at events as well as providing leadership to these programs by joining committees, becoming an Event Chair, or even a position on the PTO Board.
YOUR TALENT: If you have a special skill, talent or expertise that would enhance our students’ learning, advance the PTO’s mission or an idea for a new event or fundraising program, you can work with the PTO to see how it could fit into our yearly plan.

YOUR TREASURE: You may not be able to give your time on-site. Financial contributions are an important way to support the students and programs at IC. There are many ways to contribute financially to the PTO such as making a Cash/Check Donation, Fundraising Programs, as well as many Free and Easy ways to give back to the school: Box Tops for Education, Office Max/Office Depot toner & ink recycling, My Coke Rewards, and the Kroger Plus Card – just to name a few!
